RE: TRIBUTE TO THE UNITED STATES - OFF TOPIC
Bill,
Where were you in WW2? My father flew Ansons and later Lancasters. There are
stories about the number of pilots and crews lost, I think the numbers for
the Yanks were much higher than for the RCAF and RAF who were flying night
missions. They took the hard mission and did it. Granted they haven't had
such a good rep or record over the last 20 odd years but, I flew C-130's and
727's with Air Transport Command, CAF and you have to respect the men and
women who risked their life in the Second World War.
