To my knowledge, _rubrifrons_ is primarily a freshwater species found in 
shallow sloughs, roadside ditches and the like. But like most _Fundulus_ 
it's tolerant of at least some salt. One of my goals is to collect some of 
these guys, since I "only" live about a day's drive from likely habitat; on 
the same swing through north FL I could also pick up some congeners like 
_cingulatus_ (currently _auroguttatus_ but that should change soon) and 
_lineolatus_. But not today...
