Re: Another Idea for the National Convention

I know everybody likes some speakers, but it might be nice to have more time
just to meet other people and "BS"
I think more information is passed along that way than from a speaker in
many cases. Also, it may be good to keep the fish room open all the time
once the trip thru for all is completed. Allow 2 pr the first trip and then
openhouse for the whole day.
More room on tables and maybe a little more orderly and open arangement for
fish. it was tough to find things in Buffalo piled 3 or 4 deep on tables
with very general groupings. As each set of persons leave, cross the prs
taken off the available list.
I don't know if you made it to the CKA convention in fall 1999 but it was a
real nice setup to find what you were looking for.
As for the auction on the final day of show fish, it may be prudent to allow
some show entries which can be retrieved by the owner or at least some share
of the sale given the owner if we want to see rare stuff. If something is
really rare it should bring a good enough price to go with a split and
still make money for the convention. I doubt many would bring one of maybe
3 or 4 pr of a rare raised fish for donation.
Just some thoughts
