RE: Another Idea for the National Convention
Subject: Another Idea for the National Convention
Another idea has been suggested for the National Convention. Instead of
having the open BOT meeting on Sunday morning, perhaps a Friday night
meeting might work better. This would allow for members to voice their
concerns and praise for the efforts of the Board. Then on Saturday, at the
closed meeting, the BOT could discuss some of the ideas expressed on Friday
night. Then perhaps on Sunday morning, just before the auction, in a few
minutes the Board spokesperson can debrief the assembled about their plans
for the coming year.
Is this too much "business" for the National Convention or might this work
to all our benefit?
Also, our plan is to have the Convention Website operational by September
30. Thank you for all the constructive comments that have been submitted.
We will be evaluating your responses as we move forward.

I don't feel this is too much business at all. It is a great opportunity to
discuss issues with members and may result in some good ideas being
implemented.
Even better, there is the availability of immediate feedback or follow-up
that might get lost once everyone returns home.
