RE: Dropsy? question
Hi Steve
From my limited knowledge dropsy is an internal
bacterial infection. This is mainly happens when
the fish is stressed because of water quality or
something else. Sometimes it just happens without
any reason (Seen this a lot with gourami's). I
think the bacteria responsible for dropsy is always
present in all our tanks like ich.It just depends
if the fish's immune system can fight of the bacteria.
The only killi's that I have seen with dropsy is your
annuals.. I personally haven't seen it in any of the
others.(Somebody will prove me wrong.)
Like I said tat what I understand from dropsy. Search
the net and you'll find a lot of information.
Cheers Rudolph
