Re: List problems - a challenge
Doug,
The problem is not with people's email programs, it is with majordomo, which doesn't know how to parse the html markup in the digest format. I am gently nudging the list sever admin to find a solution. Another problem with sending html markup is that is can include scripts that can infect the recipient with a virus or equivalent. We don't want to do that. While I'm on that topic I will remind you all that a heck of a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to keep this list clean. You never see attachments with viruses and you never see executable scripts, yet I deal with them daily as the list manager (in the form of bounce messages, asking me what to do about them. This was the main reason I was concerned about a jpeg coming through and I still haven't figured out how it happened).
PLEASE: do NOT let this message start a thread.
