I keep it frozen 'til needed, then use a cheese grater to shred off the
amount I need. Bigger pieces go to fish as is. Rinse out the container later
and feed the fines to fry. Works pretty well, btu your hand can get pretty
cold while you're shredding the frozen chunk. Haven't found a better way to
do that yet.
