Time may be the problem, not mishandling. Those eggs may have been on the
shelf for a decade or more. I have actually seen the labels fade in a store
without windows. Now that's old. BS eggs have a shelf life.

Dale, I had the same problem with the little tubes of eggs that you buy at
the lfs. I bought several from different stores. Never any hatch. I went
crazy asking people on the list what water they used, how long, how much
light, etc etc. Finally, I ordered some from Brine Shrimp Direct. They
seem to hatch no matter how you try them.
My conclusion is that the eggs at the lfs in the little glass tubes have not
been handled well and are DEAD! My appologies to the lfs's out there that
are doing a good job (I used to own one myself).
