alita pumps

Hi,
Is anyone out there using an Alita 15a diaphragm pump, and if so, how
many killie tanks are they running off it? I went into the archives and
found Lee's excellent comparative study of fishroom pumps, but no one
was using this one. As well, how is the diaphragm life on these things?
I have a friend running no-name diaphragm pumps that resemble Alita on a
central, and they've run five years with no problem. Is this luck?
