RE: Coretex lids was RE: riccia fluvitans as anti-jumping device?
Hi John
I have a 20gal long (30") covered with it and it seems to work just fine. I
made this lid a little on the tight side so with out trimming it, it bows up
or down depending on how it was put in. The corrugation will keep it in
shape I believe. I've even cut one side of it to make a hinge like a
regular glass lid would have. I don't know how long it will take before the
hinge gives out but it will sooner than latter. I like much better than
glass. I don't like glass lids and acrylic is expensive and looks like hell
after a while in a fish room so I am working on covering all my tanks with
coretex. The best part about the coretex is no glass to brake! and you can
cut it with a knife or large scissors.
