RE: Greenwater
I have green water blooms in some of my tanks from time to time. They last
for months and are always in tanks with sponge filters, never UG filters.

A friend of mine, Bill Shields, has that same thing, and says it moves from
tank to tank. However, he doesn't try to rid them of it. The tank that it
is now is an Angel tank, and the green water hasn't seemed to have done any
harm. I have known of his green water tanks for about 4 months. Seems to
be more a blessing than a hindrance. However, I'm sure if it is a show tank
that would be a bad thing. If it were in my fish room, I would keep it
going and feed my fry with it, and contribute portions of it to my
Moina/daphnia culture for sure.
