I believe that fish are a substantial part of killifish's diets. Why else do
we separate our young from the adults or provide hiding places and retrieve
only a few very strong survivors? Young fish are notorious cannibals, older
fish are a little lazier, but will still grab a mouthful of a fish, even if
it is their own offspring. That doesn't make fish a better food, just a
natural food.
