RE: Grindal worm Problem
Hi Al,
I feed over 100 fish daily with 7 plastic shoeboxes total. My temperatures
reach over 80 degrees. I open the bags daily to feed the worms and I doubt
that they are 100% air tight. Synthetic cultures do not in any way resemble
earthen ones. The worms actually get more air exposure and therefore get
more oxygen than they would in dirt. Also the ammonia can evaporate or
diffuse into the water bath.
Best regards,
~RJ~

RJ YOU SAID
you need to keep the culture in sealed plastic bags or containers which
prevent the bugs from getting in.
I say you have a low production good for maybe two or three fish if you keep
them in a sealed plastic bag or container. If I carry one of my starter
cultures into a fish club meeting in a sealed container they will smoother
and be a stinking mess of goop in 6 hours at 70 degrees.

breed your fish today because man's
breeding is killing the wild supply.
