RE: Cultures ANOTHER THOUGHT

If you really want the cultures now, you could maybe, if you really wanted to, and were very motivated, send a small styro to Al at LFS and have him send you the cultures back in your styro.  Might cost a little more but that's where the motivation comes in.  I am sending out some daphnia cultures to a friend in Northern California this coming weekend in a styro and they have close to a 100% chance of making it.  That's not arrogance speaking, just a little experience.

I just received a couple of cultures in the mail and they were both dead or very close to it as I have seen no sign of life yet. I think you should make  every effort to find cultures locally until the weather cools down.

*    LFS Cultures ships cultures in uninsulated carboard boxes.  I bought
a large culture of daphnia and one of grindal worms last month and they both
arrived dead.  When I e-mailed them they replaced them, and both arrived
dead.  I think I'll wait until fall before ordering again
.

Thanks I was just about to order.
