Hi Cookie

[Is that your name? We try to use real names here, or actual nicknames.
Handles aren't used. It's a most social group.]

He is just part of the old school. Many hobbyists refused to accept Dr.
Parenti's reclassification of many Aphyos into Fp. for almost 20 years.
[Probably because she was just a girl. ;-)] The current Baensch Atlases
still follow the outdated nomenclature, as do many European hobbyists. No
surprise that a store owner follows the Atlas name.

http://ARK.killi.net/AList.htm is the AKA officially approved list of killy
names, with correct spelling, first describer, and date of first
description. Always check your fish against that list, and if you can't find
them there, ask here. Someone most likely will know what the real name is.

Take a printout to your local club meeting, so you can resolve the confusing
names some hobbyists put on their bags for the auction, too. :-)

Post us when you get eggs and when you have live young, OK?

Wright

In retrospect it becomes clear that hindsight is definitely overrated.
