Jose,
Charlie Nunziata instructed me on a good method of breeding nothos to
maximize my output.  I condition my RAC separate, male in one tank female in
another.  Then once a week I put them both in a fish bowl together.  In the
fish bowl is 50% their old tank water, 50% new water, NO FOOD, and about a
half to 3/4 inch layer of peat on the bottom.  After 24 hours, and a much
more slender female, I pull both fish and separate them with a fresh water
change.  Then I squeeze the peat, dry for the night and then sift through
the next day to ensure eggs are in it.  I then bag it and store it.

That's it.  No food and separate quarters seemed to be the key for me.
