Re: Choc and Gold Australe
I remember my australe in the 50's and they were a bit lighter than the
chocolate are now, but darker than those shown in the old Axelrod handbook.
The chocolate now don't seem to have the nice blue, orange and red fin
color patterns (except the white tips and trim) and do have a much darker
body. Females do look about the same though.
I kind of think a backlash to the gold was to selectively breed for darker
and darker males. Any thoughts?
