Re: FP Gardneri Akure Eggs

Almost all of the common Aphyosemion and FP gardneri species in
general and FP gardneri Akure's in particular that I keep hatch in 12
- 14 days. I store them on top of damp peat in a small container
which is kept in my fish room on top of one of my aquariums where the
temperature is ~74 -76. After 12 - 14 days, I put the eggs in water
and they typically hatch within a couple of hours. If I wait 3 - 4
weeks, they are all dead. I am really surprised at the long
incubation times that people are referring to. Why are their time
frames so much longer (or mine so short)? It sounds like the
temperatures are similar.
