aquarium magazines

Nanto ka fushigi <Very interesting> Anybody remember "Laugh In"? This is
what the little German used to say.... It fits, in Japan a population of 120
million, of which some 20 million are fish and aquarium keepers supports 20
different publications on marine and freshwater fishkeeping, aquatic
gardening, aquatic design and layout for ponds and specialty interests such
as goldfish, natives, aquatic insects, livebearers, killifish etc. We have 4
major publications that I read monthly plus others such as AquaJournal,
Amano's slim volumes and others that I sometimes read. These are all high
quality publications with photos scanned in at 600-1,000 DPI and averaging
from 200-300 pages. The US and Canada average in with a population of 400
million and the best that can be done is TFH and FAMA. There is something
wrong here.
