No.  Skunks are rabies carriers and cannot be properly vaccinated against it. 
 Big cats are mostly endangered and few (if any) individuals have the 
facilities to keep a proper breeding group.  Primates can carry virtually all 
human diseases and are not able to be innoculated against them.  After 
helping someone deal with the fallout from someone who was exposed to TB on a 
commercial airline, I don't ever want to see a pet monkey again.

In short, there are animals that should not be kept as pets.  This is not 
based on any sort of "animal rights" argument, but on scientific data.
