Hmmm... maybe there is something to worry about... Still
i wouldn't mind a bill restricting the keeping of sauy
shovel nose cats, giant gouramies and arowanas---
especially here in SA. Some of these big fish really get
abused. Maybe the law should be rewritten to exempt
dogs, cats, gerbils, other vermin and fish below 1 foot
(or what ever size would make oscars OK) in length.
Remember a politician would never submit a bill that
wasn't in his interest. So some where, some one is going
to reward him/her for this somehow. So, to kill the
bill, make his/her life miserable or better. There are
very few politicians left who support something because
it is right.
Coincidently, would live rock etc... fall under this
bill? The marine industry is quite a big lobby as is the
fish food one. Where there is money their is the means
to change a politicians opinion... Yes, not all
politicians can be bought but most can be rented. It
would be nice placing a moratorium on anenome imports
(given the horrendous fatality rate). (that would be a
nice law here too...)
