There is no doubt that one can make dry foods that are more nutritious and
acceptable than virtually any frozen food, nor that you can get better growth
and survival on such high quality dry foods. The argument against dry foods
is their fragmentation and the resultant microbial blooms that depress water
quality. High quality dry foods are excellent, but only in combination with
frequent massive water changes..
