Postal service customer service
Maybe it's a Florida thing but I also had great customer service from the
USPS recently. I ordered some fish which arrived last week. All my past
deliveries have been left outside the front door but this time there was a
note that the package was being held at the post office since they were live
fish. The mail carrier was concerned that they might cook in the 95 degree
+ weather. When I made it to the post office the next day the package was
there and the service by the lady behind the counter was great. She told me
that they receive all kinds of packages with animals and insects and they
don't consider it a problem at all unless they escape into the back rooms.

In Jax where it's raining so hard I might need a boat to get home.

Canada isn't involved but ..... heh, this is almost on-topic ....
... I got a phone call this morning.
From my local post office, where I don't personally know anybody. (I'm never
there during normal hours.)
"We have a package just come for you. It says it has Live Fish in it."
(1) I'm in Florida, and this package came from Ohio, and was supposed to be
mailed yesterday, so that's quick.
[But wait, there's more. Not only do you get these 6 ginzu knives but
....]
(2) The lady at the post office called my house and left a message on the
machine there.
(3) She then somehow figured out my work number ... maybe it was on the
package, although I don't recall having given it to the sender ... and then
she made another call and got me at work.
(4) My work isn't even in the same area code .. it's a long distance call.
WOW. Talk about delighting the customer !!! They went waaay beyond my
expectations.
(I'm going to have to send them an xmas card. Guess I ought to hand-deliver
it, tho.)
