This means Bill Clinton won't be able to keep any of his girlfriends. LOL
Seriously, speaking from a country where the LPS has a 4 month old baby
cheetah and numerous monkeys and wild birds for sale in less than wonderful
conditions. I'd say we need these laws to keep people from doing things that
common sense says we shouldn't. New York is just one large urban and
suburban sprawl and keeping large reptiles or mammals is not the most
intelligent thing to do in confined spaces. On the other hand dedicated
hobbyists, conservationists and other trained and qualified people should
not be prevented from careing for and breeding wild animals in the proper
conditions. Many of the fish, amphibians and small reptiles will or would be
extinct if not for people such as ourselves. This law should not be fast
tracked or forced through the legislature.
