Right on Dominic,
It's a problem with the medium. I'm most likely to be fascinated by an
in-depth discussion of something I really know little about. OTOH, that's
exactly the kind where I have nothing useful to contribute, so appear to be
a silent sufferer, when I'm not at all.
Don't let our silence indicate disinterest, guys, OK? For those bored, the
delete key still works (if we keep the "Subject:" pertinent).
