The strongest killifish jumper I've ever seen is a North American native,
the southern studfish (_Fundulus stellifer_). Adults are very athletic,
about 10 cm long. Every time I've caught them in the wild, they will clear
out of a bucket if you're dumb enough not to immediately put on a secure
lid. I've seen them jump up about a half meter. (I've seen them in
southeastern Tennessee and northeastern Alabama.)
Their near relatives, the northern studfish (_F. catenatus_) while very
similar is _not_ an aggressive jumper.
