</color>Ah, a chealated form. Most chealates don't just let 
go in the medium but need to exchange one ion for 
another. You total Copper may of been high, but 
most was probably not in solution... Especially if 
you are working with soft water. A chelate won't 
let a divalent ion go for a monovalent sodium 
ion... 

As a side note, one of the most effective cures for 
velvet for me has been formalin (strangely enough 
at the dosage Wright uses to kill hydra...). I 
wouldn't use it on fry though...

</color>I agree. What ever it was killed the fish at trace 
amounts. Aluminum is not as toxic as copper though. 
Zinc is one possibility but once again, copper is 
more toxic than zinc.
