Re: SJO
I keep breeders in a 29. When I want to set them up
they go into roughly a 5 gallon tank with lots of
peat. I dry the peat for 5-6 weeks before wetting. My
eggs are stored at approx 72-74 degrees.
2 1/2 to 3" takes I guess about 3 months and 2 lbs of
brine shrimp per fish, or at least it seems like that.
It is a victory and cause for celebration when the
little guys get big enough to take frozen brine
shrimp.
They eat huge amounts, and growth is directly related
to how clean the water is. A hundred 1/2" fry can tear
up the water in a 10 gallon tank in a week if you
don't stay on top of filtration and water changes.
