how do I take care of Fp. cinnamoneum

Hi, I am a beginner and I just got a pair of Fp. cinnamoneum, I would like to know everything about this fish. So far, I've read that it grows about 3 1/2 inches long for males, lives quite long, and is relatively peaceful. Mine refuses to eat tetra-min flakes and tetre colorbits, and I am feeding it in order of most often to least often: freeze-dried bloodworms, freeze-dried grammas shrimp(I think), frozen brineshirmp, frozen daphnia. I will probably obtain some fruitfly cultures soon and also some white worms which I will feed sparingly. I would like to know their prefared ph and temperature, as well as anything else regarding to husbandry. Right now the young pair which is a litte more than one inch is in a half filled 5 1/2 gallon tank that is bare except for floating salvinia plants and water letteuse, the ph is about 7.6, what it is out of my tap, and the temperture is just room temperature, I have not measured it yet but it is summer so it is probably about 75. Also, what do eggs look like? I got the fish at a meeting sunday and set them up sunday night, could they be laying eggs by tuesday? I'm seeing what looks like little air bubbles on the roots of my plants. If that's what eggs are supposed to look like, how do you tell the difference? Thanks for listening.
