FW: help with T. dolichopterus
I apologize if you have received this before but I've sent this out twice
already and it has yet to appear on the killie list.

Subject: help with T. dolichopterus
I was hoping someone out there could give me some advise about T.
dolichopterus. Last month I bought two pairs that arrived in great health.
Since they were in such great health I put some peat in the tank and the
promptly spawned for several days. Before I purchased them I contacted the
seller and found out that these ones wouldn't take any dried or frozen food
so since I've had them I've been keeping them on mosguito larvae until
recently when my daphnia cultures exploded. Can someone with experience
with this species tell me what food is the best to get them into breeding
conditions, as well as how long to store the eggs? Finally what's the best
food to start the fry out on as well as any other info that would increase
my chances for success with this species? Thanks for the help
Steve
In steamy Jax.
