I find it interesting that all these "plagues &
famines" have not even slowed the population growth of
man, let alone posed a threat to the species. Maybe
the doom sayers are a little paranoid?

How peculiar that each year we face a new plague or
famine in
area where "low intelligence" is most demonstrated.
We also find that the plagues most dominant and which
are world
wide in nature are those that target the stupid and
arogant (AIDS,
TB, Salmonella... the list goes on).
Pollution is catching up with us. Climate change is
evident, water
reserves are becoming more contaminated and so on...
if we are to
finaly wake up and change our ways we may find it is
already too
late... We have for all pretensive purposes missed the
global
warming boat already. Bush's intent to persue better
water
management instead may of been the better investment
(granted
his desicion was based on saving the economy rather
than the
world).
