I have GAR N'Sukka that are breeding in water with a pH around 7.4 and
hardness of 300 ppm. My ratios are slightly skewed toward males, about 5
to 4. However, a club member has the same location, her water is softer
and I would guess more acidic, and her ratios are more skewed in favor
of males than mine are. Remember that water conditions are just one
factor--there may be others at work here that we haven't accounted for.
