Very much like everyone else who has posted notes about the convention.
I had a great time.
I thought the speakers were excellent, fish sale room was good, had
hoped for some rarer species but still came home with enough fish. I
thought the fish in the show were excellent. I finally saw live
specimens of fish i had only seen pics of before..... and 2 of them i
managed to come home with!!!! So Cool..... I thought the talks
about the filtration system that Mike Jacobs did was good, of course
seems like too much work for me. Guess that's what happens wheh you
live in an apartment. If i had a basement ..... well maybe.... Im
still hooked on buckets and hoses!! As for the food, dinner banquet
was good, hotel resteraunt left something to be desired.... expensive
food.... not worth the price......what can you say about hotel food.
Wait the NEC hotel food was excellent. Guess it depends on the hotel
chain. I really liked the live food, plant and fish sale that the
club did, came home with some nice stuff. Of course the People were
great, it was my first convention in 3 years so it was nice to see some
old familiar faces again. Over all i want to thank NFKA for a great
time, great fish and Great weekend , even if the sun never shined!!!
