Nope.
Rusty is good. That means it was an iron screw, which is harmless in and of
itself. If it was originally bright, it may have been cadmium plated (rarely
zinc) and that is a more hazardous heavy metal. In any tank of more than a
couple of gallons, the total amount still would probably not be a big
problem.
IDK why you are using "Proper pH," but I wouldn't do that. If you have some
rational reason for lowering pH, there are better tools for that.
IMO, you have done all you need to do about the screw.
