Some years ago I analysed water from a dehumidifier, with a similar use
in mind -- it should be practically distilled water. To my surprise it
had a very high organic carbon content (dust?) and several ppm of
copper. Apparently the "aluminum" coil is made of a copper-containing
alloy.
I never used that water for fish & don't know whether the copper content
would harm killies. Probably not enough copper to do any harm. The only
way to know for certain is to try it out.
