Subject: where to get lexan?
Hey,
I've been wanting to get lexan (polycarbonate?) sheeting for some time,
because I'm a little tired of watching my acrylic tank covers sag into the
tank, but I've not been able to find any in hardware stores, and they
haven't been able to order any, either, snce they mostly give me blank
looks. Any thoughts?
Doug
Buy "Lexan" (GE Trade Name for poycarbonate) sheets at a plastics supply
center. In our area the names are Abbott, Adapt, Cope, Midland, etc. Just
look for "Plastics-Rods, Tubes, Sheets, etc - supply centers" listing in the
yellow pages. Any polycarbonate sheet will do the same as Lexan, but be
prepared to open the wallet a little wide - it ain't cheap. Good luck
