caught some fundulus!
After years of trying to catch what should have been an easy to get
local killie, Fundulus diaphanous, I took my car in for repairs in an
old, industrial part of town this morning. I was walking down the dusty
street to the bus, past the bars and strip clubs, when I noticed an
unlikely sports store offering minnows.
So I looked, and came out with a pile of these long sought killies. The
guy in the store even gave me a location, as we discussed the
distribution of the fish locally. He knew his stuff and was glad to
share.
For now, they're in a couple of my native fish tanks.
So, I figure I'll go with mops and see how I do. If anyone knows better,
I'd love to hear it.
