I agree we should get back to killies, however, there is a history to
this question. There used to be a list run by Richard Sexton (probably
still is). It was a dynamic, useful list, until it bogged down first in
loonie-tunes postings, then in squabbling about the AKA. So our list was
created, to be a forum to discuss the AKA. It IS the list you are
suggesting.
Richard refused, on the grounds of his beliefs, to kick people off his
list. So it was an "anything goes" list, and it went. Killietalk will
ask people to leave, or give them the boot if it is necessary. But, AKA
politics/policies are part of the mandate. It certainly has evolved
beyond any narrow interpretation.
The problem is drawing the line between grousing and tavern talk, and
discussing policies...
