RE: Electronic AKA

The AKA costs me about $2.08 per month. For that I get the BNL and JAKA and
tremendous enjoyment and knowledge from so many other members and scientific
contributors. The writer of the post below wants to save money by putting
the BNL
on email only. So now my cost is what, $1.58 per month?
I want to enjoy my BNL while sitting in my easy chair, reading or rereading
at my leisure, not staring at a screen. I might even want to take it
somewhere
else to read or refer back to it months later.
The $25.00 per year for the AKA is the best deal I've found yet and I DO NOT
wish to give up the paper BNL!

"But that is exactly what the BOT does. They claim that the dues cover the
cost of producing and mailing the JAKA and BNL. So eliminate a large portion
of the production and mailing costs, and dues can be reduced for everyone. I
suggest offering to send the BNL via e-mail, but keep the JAKA as a snail
mail product. This way, snail-mailers get a benefit of lower cost that is
generated by the e-mailer; and e-mailers get the benefit of instant
gratification."
