I think the perception and concern has been that paper would be shut
down in favor of electronic. I agree that we should do both. Personally,
I do about 90% of my communication via e-mail, but I have slow internet
connections (I live in Podunk USA, I think) so accessing the website
takes far more time than flipping through the pages of the BNL or JAKA.
I also like the feel of having the hardcopy in hand. Guess I must be a
Luddite at heart.
