Unfortunately, none of the rest of us will know better! Imagine if neither
you, nor the other eleven folks, nor Catherine, Wright or I sent in forms.
Then someone else might come across a pair of kutunze somewhere and say,
"well, gee, puerzli has 2 reports, kutunze has no reports, so I'll just
pitch these puerzli here and pick up the kutunze because, my, nobody in the
AKA keeps kutunze!" That person would be swapping a rarer fish for one
that's more common, just because we didn't report twhat we have!
Reporting isn't for the breeder's benefit, or for the breeder's fishes, it
is for the benefit of all your fellow killiekeepers and all those other
rare species out there. The very, very low level of community mindedness
around here would be sad (and no, David, I know that's not your case, and I
know that in spades!) if I didn't know perfectly well it comes about
because most people haven't thought through what the final consequences of
their actions will ultimately be: the loss of species to the hobby despite
the willingness of many to work to prevent such losses.
