This is a cool water killie and accordingly it is very sensitive to O2
levels as are the eggs. Higher temps cause an increase in its
metabolism and accordingly and increased demand for O2 which is
getting less as the temp increases. While the fish can adapt by
staying near the surface the eggs just sit at the bottom and
suffocate. When picking eggs put the eggs in shallow trays and
aerate with an airstone and add some methylene blue (not as an
antifungal but to aid in respiration).
See if this helps. We where having problems with the E.
bifasciattus we got in last year from Nigeria. The eggs kept dieing
till we started aerating the containers.

Finding the right food to condition is very NB also.
