I agree!!!! If we had modern communications for fish & egg listings
with easily updated additions and sold-out cancellations, we might attract a
few additional members who now turn to Aquabid. We might also get some
better distribution, rather the same old people helping the same old people
who have each others' numbers. I abhor the idea of being held to the level
of the least modern members. We should be able to slap an add on the
website on Monday, sell our fish by Wednesday, and then pull the add
Thursday. Why should we all have to wait a month or two to have adds done?
It doesn't make a damn bit of sense! Hell, more people here on killietalk
email each other and sell fish than in the mail F&EL now! Members with no
computer or Web-TV can access the adds from any public library if they want.
We are never going to increase membership or cooperation within the AKA by
clinging to outdated methods for the sake of a few. We won't be "leaving
people behind," we will be taking the AKA forward!
