SJO
Hi All
I just recently got the 4 unsexed SJO fry. They are currently about 3 cm and
have coloured
up nicely. It turned out that I was lucky in getting 2 pairs. They are
currently all kept in the
same tank.
Being new to SJO my question is this. One of the females, that's bigger than
the 2 males,
sometimes displays to the males by lifting her gill plates and making mock
charging
movements at the males. The other female, that is bit smaller than the
males, hides as soon
as a male approaches her. The displaying female some times displays or
charges the other
smaller female. Does females display at males or does I have a uncoloured
male ? If I look at
the form and colour I am dead sure it's a female.
I have raise AUS, GAR, DAG, BIF, LIN and some Notho's and have never seen
this behaviour
in females.
Cheers Rudolph
