RE: plant identification help
Hi Folks,
I just got a chance to take the link below and it raised a question. I have
something similar growing in one of my fish tanks. It is a yellow green
similar in color to water sprite. It seems to grow in bunches like java moss
but it is much much finer It has a branching structure. It started among
some other floating plants but is now dropping off smaller pieces to the
bottom of the tank. It also seems to be building itself an island and
growing up into the air. It looks like very fine grass. It is much finer
than riccia.
I would normally be thrilled about a plant like this but as it appeared
uninvited, I figured that I would ask if anyone has any idea what it is. By
the way there are no bladders as far as I can see with the naked eye.
Anyone have any ideas from my description. If I had a few ideas what it was
it would he easier to get more information on it.
Best regards,
-RJ-

the stringy stuff. it grows like a weed. I'm wondering if it's okay to try
and use as "natural spawning" material for my fish or if it's, um, garbage
and I just need to get my java moss going in this tank.. Any help
appreciated.
