That means the final (blend) KH was about 5-6, which should give a pH of
7.6-7.8 after standing a while to dissipate any extra dissolved CO2 in the
well water. Unless your well (or rain?) water has an unusual major source of
some other acid, the final pH is just about where one might expect it to be.
Do your tests with and without the rinsed lava, just to be sure you are
measuring what *it* does to your water, and not what your water does
naturally. Just a thought.
