I love the Hanna, and the price is right. I have not worried about
calibration because I use it for comparison purposes. As long as my tap
water measures 25-35, then the meter is close enough. If I get a reading of
100, I don't care if the correct answer is 90 or 110, because if I am moving
fish to a new tank at 30 I have some acclimating to do. I purchased the 800
TDS calibrating solution and have tested the meter twice in the last 6
month. It has strayed 1. That is more likely something I did than anything
else. My experience with digital equipment is that if kept clean and not
dropped they rarely go out of calibration, as long as the battery works.
