RE: I can't get Java Fern to grow!



Hi, maybe there are different types of java fern, Because I used to keep it
in my discus tanks up to about 82 degrees without a problem. As I mentioned
in an earlier post the only thing it can not tolerate is salt.

I have heard somewhere that some plants do not like hard water, could this
be your problem?  My water is moderately soft and therefore I can not
comment additionally here.

You did not mention temperature. I have found that it grows well at cooler
temperatures and dies at 80+ degrees.
