RE: Shipping fishes
Hi Barry,
You are absolutely right, I have encountered enough Notho-phobia in this
hobby without adding the misconception that they could not be live shipped.
The rewards are most certainly worth the risks involved.
I know that there was no offense intended and certainly none was taken.
Best regards,
-RJ-

RJ,
No offense was intended in my post and I hope it was not taken. I was
simply trying to point out that live Nothos can be shipped quite
successfully, with appropriate care. I didn't want people to get an
impression that it is a huge problem unique to Nothos. There is no
doubt that eggs are a useful alternative. However, it is also true
that people have failures when shipping/receiving eggs through the
mail.
Regarding shipping to Brazil, my experience, which is limited to one
shipment, is that there is risk involved no matter what form you ship
in. The one shipment I sent never turned up at all.
