You can just cover the label with some clear wide shipping tape. That will
waterproof it. I think waterproof inkjet ink won't happen for obvious
reasons if you think a minute. Even if the ink was waterproof, the paper
label, if it will soak up the ink will soak up water. The only true
waterproof labels I know of required a heated thermal ribbon transferred to
a fiber based label, and very expensive, similar to the bar code labels you
see on new cars.
